SEARCH ESSENTIALS · 3 MIN READ

A clearer photo. A better place to start.

A simple checklist for choosing an image for your first search.

Choose one visible face

Pick a photo with a single, front-facing face. Group shots, heavy shadows, sunglasses, and face coverings can make comparison more difficult.

Keep the original detail

Use the highest-quality version you have permission to use. Avoid repeatedly screenshotting or compressing an image. Searches accept JPG, PNG, and WebP files up to 10 MB.

Check the context

Only search images you have the right to use. A useful result gives you something to review; it never replaces a conversation or proves identity by itself.

A little context can go a long way.
