REVERSE FACE SEARCH

Reverse face search.
See where a face appears.

A reverse face search looks for the same face across publicly indexed images, including different photos, crops, and angles. It is not a search of private accounts, and a match is a clue, not an identification.

How a face search is different from a reverse image search

A reverse image search looks for the same file. A reverse face search compares facial features, so a cropped dating photo can still meet another public photo of that face. CatfishSpotter returns the source pages it finds. It does not tell you the person’s name, and it does not search private profiles.

What you can upload

A clear JPG, PNG, or WebP of one face works best: a profile picture, a selfie, or a screenshot from a dating app or a social post. Screenshots are fine. Group photos and heavy filters give a search less to work with.

What this search can show

  • Public web pages where a similar face appears
  • The same photo reused on another public page
  • A free check of whether the picture itself looks generated

What it will not do

  • Open private dating apps, locked accounts, or messages
  • Prove a name, an age, or that someone is a scammer
  • Promise a match. A clean result is not proof the profile is real
What is a reverse face search?+

You upload a photo. The search compares that face with publicly indexed images and lists source pages where a similar face appears. It is a visual lead, not an identity check.

Is reverse face search free?+

You can upload a photo and run the free AI image check without a credit. A full face search, with source pages, uses one credit. Packs are one-time payments, not a subscription.
